Himanshu Kumar is a senior and experienced Actuarial of India. He has one and half decades of hands-on working experience under Insurance, Employee Benefits and Investment Banking. He has gained extensive work experience under Consultancy, Actuarial Process Outsourcing (APO), Corporate Business and Training. He has also gained significant exposure to both the domestic and the overseas financial & actuarial markets. Before setting iCARMAA LLP, Himanshu was the head actuary of financial reporting and planning in AXA life insurance, Thailand.

Himanshu has completed B.Sc (H) and M.sc (Math) from Banaras Hindu University (BHU) in 1999. He started his actuarial career with LICI in 2000 and served the organization for 8.5 years. Later, he moved to Patni Computers, India as Head of Actuarial center of excellence, AIA, Thailand as head of health insurance and AXA, Thailand as head of Financial planning and reporting.

Himanshu has been involved in various key processes of a company e.g. Pricing, Designing, Valuation, Underwriting, Reinsurance, Expense and Surplus Analysis, IFRS accounting, MCEV movements, Solvency II and support to Marketing, Legal, IT and Bancassurance. He has also worked on distinguished business models and regulations under life, health, general and pension businesses for many countries e.g. US, UK, Canada, Netherlands, Australia, Hungary, Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia. Himanshu also possesses sound knowledge of Actuarial Excel, Predictive Analytics, SQL Server, R and Mo.Net with proficiency in languages like SQL and VBA. 

Himanshu is awarded with “Academic Excellent Award” by the Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI). He is also the guest faculty of Birla Institute of Management & Technology (BIMTECH), Greater Noida for Actuarial. iCARMAA LLP is the culmination of his passion for research & innovations to confer his technical expertise in the nation building.
